For a long time I believed that I was broken and I'd never feel 'normal' again. I was so focused on 'getting rid' of my anxiety that I couldn't see the bigger picture. My body was spending an exorbitant amount of time in my stress response, even before my chronic anxiety started. Even when I didn't feel stressed, my body was dealing with stress I couldn't see. Poor diet, bad lifestyle choices, an unhealthy relationship, family stress growing up, it all took its toll.
